Expression of pblEP3415 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF at 25[o]C exhibit severely disorganized eyes and 40% of the animals display necrotic foci and yellowish loss of pigment at the center of the eye. These flies also have an overall glazed irregular appearance, loss of interommatidial bristles, holes in the lens and a severe reduction in the number of photoreceptors.

Expression of pblEP3415 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF at room temperature generates a weak phenotype.

Expression of pblEP3415 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU results in a rough eye phenotype.

Expression of pblEP3415 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH results in eyes that are strongly reduced in size. Flies expressing pblEP3415 under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.2sev have rough eyes. Flies expressing pblEP3415 under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E have a few incomplete wing veins.

Mutant larvae expressing pblEP3415 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 show complex phenotypes in the ISNs. This phenotype is characterised primarily by extra synaptic and axonal branches, some of which cross segment borders.

Expression of pblEP3415 under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-537.4 results in the loss of several scutellar macrochaetae. Sensory organs with no socket and one shaft, one socket and two shafts and rarely, one socket, one shaft and two sheath cells are seen.

Over expression driven by Scer\GAL4prd.RG1 does not result in a detectable phenotype.

Genetic Interactions

Co-expression of CycEScer\UAS.cLa suppresses the small eye phenotype caused by expression of pblEP3415 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The synergistic effect of pblEP3415 and fafEP381 can be overcome by co-expression with Hsap\UBE3AScer\UAS.cRa (all under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF.
