Thermogenetic activation (using TrpA1UAS.(B).cKa at 32[o]C) of Scer\GAL4S3.Hug cells in larvae reduces food intake and pharyngeal pump cycle frequency (antennal nerve activity and cibarial dilator musculature contractions), compared to controls.
Ablation (using rprUAS.cUa) of Scer\GAL4S3.Hug cells in adult males does not affect food intake, compared to controls.
