For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
Renamed from 'Nat1' (which is the symbol of the yeast ortholog) to 'NAA15-16' (reflecting the symbols of the human orthologs) to be consistent with naming of other D. melanogaster N(alpha)-acetyltransferase subunits and to reduce confusion with the different gene 'NAT1' from which it differed only by case.
Named 'NAA15-16' (N(alpha)-acetyltransferase 15/16) based on the symbol of the orthologous human genes.
