Drm-DH31, diuretic hormone
regulation of sleep - regulates a preferred temperature decrease at night-onset - midgut cells that express Dh31 and tachykinin are activated by the presence of proteins and amino acids - increases the contraction frequency in the anterior midgut

AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.
Low-frequency RNA-Seq exon junction(s) not annotated.
Annotated transcripts do not represent all supported alternative splices within 5' UTR.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).
Dh31 is expressed in the embryo in the midline in VUM interneuron 2 (called iVUM5 in the paper) of segment A7 and in one cell each in the mandibular and maxillary segments.
Comment: caudal half of posterior midgut
Comment: peptides
Dh31 peptides were detected in extracts from adult and larval midguts.
Dh31 protein is expressed throughout the midgut and are particularly abundant in the anterior midgut and the anterior middle midgut junction but are also present in the middle and posterior midgut. The immunoreactivity is reduced once the larva reaches the wandering stage.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
