AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.

New stable cell line derived from S2-unspecified : Inducible stable S2 cell lines were established that express full length Tag:V5-tagged Rrp4, Rrp6, or Ski6.
New stable cell line derived from S2-unspecified : Stable S2 cell lines were created expressing copper-inducible epitope-tagged exosome subunits to examine the subcellular distribution of exosome complex components. Stable lines were created containing the following exosome subunits; Dis3, Rrp6, Mtr3, Rrp42, Rrp4, Ski6, Rrp46, Rrp40, and Csl4.
dsRNA made from templates generated with primers directed against this gene in combination with dsRNA against gig results in suppression of the final average cell size, with it being closer to the control average cell size, rather than the average cell size resulting from knockdown of the candidate gene alone.
Identification: as a protein that copurifies with Spt6 protein.
FlyBase curator comment: one insertion in the "e03781" Exelixis line (PBac{RB}e03781b) was originally assigned to the Ski6 gene in FBrf0179797, resulting in the "Ski6e03781" (FBal0159748) allele. However, FBrf0184340 shows that this was incorrect, and the PBac{RB}e03781b insertion is not within a transcription unit.
