G proteins are composed of 3 units, alpha, beta and gamma. Interacts with Gbeta76C/Guanine nucleotide-binding protein subunit beta-2 (By similarity).

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).
Gγ30A protein is localized to the photoreceptor cells of the retina. It is also detected in the lamina and the medulla, presumably in axons of the photoreceptor cells that project to these optic ganglia.

Please Note FlyBase no longer curates genomic clone accessions so this list may not be complete
Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
New annotation (CG43733) in release 5.44 of the genome annotation.

Annotations CG3694 and CG43733 merged in release 5.56 of the genome annotation; annotation ID CG3694 retained. CG43733 corresponds to the additional extent of the CDS created by stop-codon-read-through.
Source for merge of Gγ30A CG3694 was a shared cDNA ( date:010720 ).
