In HmgcrScer\UAS.cvDa; Scer\GAL4elav-C155 embryos an avergae of 12 germ cells per embryos migrate abberantly into the nervous system.
When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4h-1J3, some PGCs are found in the gonad though many are lost and accumulate in segment A7. The gonadal mesoderm forms normally. When expression is driven by Scer\GAL469B, some PGCs are found in the epidermis. When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4elav-C155, some PGCs are found in the ventral nerve cord. When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16, PGC migration is normal. Embryos grow up to be fertile adults.
