twit transcript is detected in the embryonic ventral nerve cord in median and lateral clusters of prospective motorneurons. It colocalises with wit transcript, phosphorylated Mad protein and partially with VGlut transcript. In the embryonic brain, twit is expressed in bilaterally symmetrical pairs of cells and clusters.
