Rac1GMR.PN flies have a subtle rough eye.

Rac1GMR.PN animals display a rough eye phenotype that perturbs mainly the posterior part. This phenotype is not fully penetrant and ~20% of flies exhibit a relatively normal eye.

Rac1GMR.PN flies display a rough eye phenotype.

Rac1GMR.PN flies have small, rough eyes.

Flies expressing Rac1GMR.PN have eyes with a rough, glazed appearance.

Flies carrying Rac1GMR.PN have moderately rough eyes, with flattened but distinct ommatidia. Interommatidial bristles are occasionally missing.

Rough patterned eye with misshapen, fused and flattened ommatidia.

Flies bearing one copy of P{GMR-Rac1.N} show a rough eye phenotype. Pigment cells are missing, ommatidial morphology is disrupted and photoreceptor cells are occasionally lost. Two copies of P{GMR-Rac1.N} increase the severity of the phenotype.

Scer\GAL4GMR.PF-mediated expression of conuGAP.Scer\UAS.T:Uuuu\Myr5,T:Zzzz\FLAG in a Rac1GMR.PN background results in a phenotype similar, but not quite identical to that of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF conuGAP.Scer\UAS.T:Uuuu\Myr5,T:Zzzz\FLAG flies alone.

Scer\GAL4GMR.PF-mediated expression of Arf51FScer\UAS.cCa strongly enhances the rough eye of Rac1GMR.PN flies.

Co-expression of alphS-331.GMR is not only unable to suppress the Rac1GMR.PN rough eye, but also slightly enhances this phenotype.
