Expression of DebclScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4Ddc.PL results in significantly reduced median adult lifespan as well as decrease in age-dependent climbing abilities compared to controls. Expression under the Scer\GAL4GMR.PF driver leads to severely disrupted adult eye morphology and loss of ommatidia.

Expression of DebclScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc.PU results in an increase in the apoptosis in the antero-posterior frontier of the third instar wing disc, and adult wings exhibit a reduction in the distance between the L3 and L4 wing veins in the proximal region of the wing, and a fusion of these veins at the anterior crossvein, as compared to wild type.

Expression of debclScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF results in a small eye phenotype. Eye discs of these animals show increased apoptosis compared to controls.
