eIF4E1S058911/+ suppresses the increase in excitatory junction current amplitude and quantal content seen in larvae NMJs expressing LrrkScer\UAS.cIa under the control of Scer\GAL4Mhc.PW.

The eIF-4ES058911 allele dominantly suppresses the bamz3-2884/bamΔ86 ovariole phenotype.

The small body phenotype caused by expression of Lk6EP30.18 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 is not seen if the flies are also expressing eIF-4ESer251Ala.t8.9 in a eIF-4ES058911/eIF-4ES058911 background.

No reduction in pole cell number is seen in the progeny of vasPH165/+ ; eIF-4ES058911/+ females.
