Expression of gigGD1454 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 (in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the adult stage) in the midgut results in a significant increase in size of intestinal stem cells.

Expression of gigGD1454 using Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 results in abnormally large wings in which cell size and cell number are increased.

Adults expressing gigGD1454 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in a weak flyer phenotype.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 may result in semi-lethality, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in extra bristles on the notum in 0% or 20-30% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in loss of bristles on the notum in 0% or 30-40% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in a colour difference between the central Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain of the notum and the surrounding lateral region in 0% or 50-60% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in bristle morphology defects on the notum in 10-20% or 50-60% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in the absence of 10-20% or 40-50% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237-expressing area of the notum, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in an enlarged notum.

The expression of gigGD1454 (and Dicer-2 transgene, for efficient RNAi) under the control of Scer\GAL4mirr-DE suppresses the defects of smo3 homozygous somatic clones in third instar larval eye discs to enter S transition during the second mitotic wave.

The co-expression of gigGD1454 does not suppress the increased midgut cell size resulting from the expression of Atg9HMS01246 under the control of Scer\GAL4Myo31DF-NP0001.

Co-expression of bunGD1392 or MadmGD7155 suppresses the increased intestinal stem cell size seen in flies expressing gigGD1454 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130.

The reduction in the distance between wing veins 3 and 4 that is seen in animals expressing PrpkdsRNA.Scer\UAS.462 under the control of Scer\GAL4salm.EPv is not suppressed if they are also co-expressing gigGD1454.

Co-expression of hppyScer\UAS.cMa rescues the large wing phenotype of gigGD1454, Scer\GAL4nub-AC-62 flies. Wing size is similar to over-expression of hppyScer\UAS.cMa alone.
