The GAL expression patterns of these constructs may not necessarily recapitulate the endogenous peptide expression pattern due to incomplete regulatory elements in the promoter region used and chromosomal position effects.
All insertions were backcrossed for multiple generations into a Canton-S background into which w1118 had been introgressed.
