Drives expression in glutamatergic neurons. Drives adult expression in neurites of mushroom body extrinsic neurons in the heel, and especially in the medial part of the beta and gamma lobes. Drives larval expression in a similar pattern, with additional expression around the peduncle and vertical lobe, as well as in the protocerebrum and ventral nerve cord.

Positive GRASP (GFP reconstitution across synaptic partners) signals between ScerGAL4VGlut-OK371 and adult Hugin neurons labelled with EcollexAGMR61H10 were observed in the thoracic and abdominal ganglia.

Expression of ScerGAL4VGlut-OK371, which reflects expression of VGlut1, within the protocerebrum, is seen within a dorso-laterally located group of cells, and where it colocalizes with sNPF protein. Expression of ScerGAL4VGlut-OK371 in the nerve cord is extensive.

In adults, ScerGAL4VGlut-OK371 drives expression in neurites of mushroom body extrinsic neurons in the heel, and especially in the medial part of the beta and gamma lobes. Larval expression was similar to the one in adults, with additional expression around the peduncle and vertical lobe.
