Drives expression in glutamatergic neurons. Drives adult expression in neurites of mushroom body extrinsic neurons in the heel, and especially in the medial part of the beta and gamma lobes. Drives larval expression in a similar pattern, with additional expression around the peduncle and vertical lobe, as well as in the protocerebrum and ventral nerve cord.

Positive GRASP (GFP reconstitution across synaptic partners) signals between Scer\GAL4VGlut-OK371 and adult Hugin neurons labelled with Ecol\lexAGMR61H10 were observed in the thoracic and abdominal ganglia.

Expression of Scer\GAL4VGlut-OK371, which reflects expression of VGlut, within the protocerebrum, is seen within a dorso-laterally located group of cells, and where it colocalizes with sNPF protein. Expression of Scer\GAL4VGlut-OK371 in the nerve cord is extensive.

In adults, Scer\GAL4VGlut-OK371 drives expression in neurites of mushroom body extrinsic neurons in the heel, and especially in the medial part of the beta and gamma lobes. Larval expression was similar to the one in adults, with additional expression around the peduncle and vertical lobe.
