The larval spliced form of Mlc1 is found in the head muscle (tubular-type muscle) in adults and not in the indirect flight muscle.
The indirect flight muscle is the only tissue that accumulates the alternatively spliced form of Mlc1 mRNA in the adult.
The splice form is found only in late pupae.
