twf protein is present in the cytoplasm and plasma membrane of all ovarian cells.
twf protein is detectedin larval extracts on western blots. Immunolocalization experiments reveal that it is ubiquitously distributed in embryos. twf protein is also observed in ovaries, especially in border cells. In pupae, twf protein is highly abundant in the cytoplasm of all hair- and bristle-producing cells. It is also distributed throughout the developing bristle shaft.
