Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see GBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
Gene expression is increased in response to the presence of two copies of Scer\GAL4hs.PB.
dsRNA has been made from templates generated with primers directed against this gene. RNAi of Tab2 results in inappropriate anterior arborization of ddaE neurons as well as inappropriate posterior arborization of ddaD neurons. RNAi also causes defects in dendrite morphogenesis.
RNAi screen using dsRNA made from templates generated with primers directed against this gene causes a specific decrease in AttA activity in response to heat-killed E.coli when assayed in S2 cells. This effect is independent of ecdysone. Tab2 RNAi also decreases Drs activity via the Tl pathway. Tab2 RNAi fails to prevent AttA activation by Iap2, indicating that Tab2 is upstream of Iap2 in the imd signalling pathway.
