mClover3 is a monomeric green fluorescent protein with an excitation peak of 506nm and an emission peak of 518nm in vitro. It is an artificial derivative of the naturally occurring fluorescent protein encoded by the Aequorea victoria GFP gene (UniProtKB:P42212), derived by mutagenesis of dClover2, containing the additional mutations S160C and A206K (PMID:26879144).
