Description

SYFP2 is a monomeric yellow fluorescent protein with an absorption peak of 490nm and an emission peak of 527nm in vitro. It is an artificial derivative of the naturally occurring fluorescent protein encoded by the Aequorea victoria GFP gene (UniProtKB:P42212), containing the mutations F46L, F64L, S65G, S72A, M153T, V163A, S175G, T203Y and A206K relative to the wild-type GFP sequence (PMID:16716067).
