Description

Sapphire is a green fluorescent protein with an excitation peak of 399nm, an emission peak of 511nm and a large Stokes shift of 112nm. It is an artificial derivative of the naturally occurring fluorescent protein encoded by the Aequorea victoria GFP gene (UniProtKB:P42212) (PMID:12769828).
