dClover2 is a green fluorescent protein derived from Clover1.5, which itself is derived from the naturally occurring fluorescent protein encoded by the Aequorea victoria GFP gene (UniProtKB:P42212). dClover2 is dimeric and contains the additional mutation G160S relative to Clover1.5, resulting in higher photostability (PMID:26879144).
