Bx2 homozygotes display scalloped wing margin defects, but not wing blistering.

Homozygotes have small wings with and lack much of the wing margin. Heterozygotes show a similar albeit weaker phenotype.

BxA523/Bx2 wings appear wild type. This phenotype is less severe than Bx2 wings and is similar to Bx2 /+ wings.

Heterozygous females and hemizygous males show a wing notching phenotype - the male hemizygous phenotype is considerably more severe.

Bx2/+ mutant wings exhibit scalloping. No other obvious abnormalities are observed.

One copy of Bxhdp48-1 partially rescues the wing scalloping phenotype seen in Bx2/+ flies.

One copy of Bxhdp185-1 partially rescues the wing scalloping phenotype seen in Bx2/+ flies.

One copy of Bxhdp58-1 partially rescues the wing scalloping phenotype seen in Bx2/+ flies.

One copy of Bxhdp67-2 partially rescues the wing scalloping phenotype seen in Bx2/+ flies.

One copy of Df(1)N19 partially rescues the wing scalloping phenotype seen in Bx2/+ flies.

Mutant animals exhibit an decreased sensitivity to cocaine.

Wing is narrowed by excisions on both margins.

RK1 (RK3 as heterozygous female).

Wings of males and homozygous females narrowed by marginal excision. Wings often bubbly and ragged. Only rarely affects wing vein L5.

Bx2, flam1 double homozygotes display scalloped wing margin defects and wing blistering in a significant proportion of the population.

Homozygous or hemizygous Bx2 suppresses the anterior dorsocentral bristle loss seen in homozygous or hemizygous ac1 mutants. The double mutant flies still show posterior dorsocentral bristle loss.

Flies carrying one copy of Chie5.5 and one copy of Bx2 have a wild type number of dorsocentral bristles.

Bx2 does not suppress the anterior dorsocentral bristle loss seen in ChiE/+ mutant flies.

No dorsocentral bristle loss is seen in flies hemizygous for Bx2 and heterozygous for pnrVX6.

No dorsocentral bristle loss is seen in flies hemizygous for Bx2 and heterozygous for pnrMD237.

Phenotype is partially suppressed by mod(mdg4)ul; flies have middle size incisions on the internal wing margin only.

Comments
Comments

Bx2/+ less extreme; overlaps wild type.

Alleles fall into an allelic series based on cocaine resistance phenotype. BxJ > Bx1 = Bx2 = Bx3.

Classifiable in a single dose in triploids.

No interaction with Doa alleles is observed.
