Under control conditions, the adulthood-only expression of NKK102890 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP7397 (and Gal80[ts], for the temporal regulation of expression) leads to a significant increase in the adult posterior midgut mitotic index in females only, as compared to controls.

Expression of NKK102890 RNAi under the control of Scer\GAL4NP6267 (using tubGal80[ts] to limit the time of expression) results in enterocyte differentiation defects in the adult posterior midgut.

The expression of NKK102890 under the control of Scer\GAL4E(spl)m6-BFM.PF leads to significantly decreased numbers of abdominal lateral and dorsal, but not ventral, adult muscle precursor cells in mid-third instar larvae, as compared to controls.

Expression of NKK102890 under the control of Scer\GAL4esg-NP5130 (limited to the adult stages using Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B) results in tumors in the anterior midgut.
