AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).

Please Note FlyBase no longer curates genomic clone accessions so this list may not be complete
Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
Gene expression is increased in response to the presence of two copies of Scer\GAL4hs.PB.
One of 42 Drosophila genes identified as being most likely to reveal molecular and cellular mechanisms of nervous system development or plasticity relevant to human Mental Retardation disorders.

Renamed from 'Mes-4' to 'NSD' because: i) the 'Mes-4' symbol was too easily confused with the unrelated gene 'Mes4' (FBgn0034726); ii) the original 'Mes-4' symbol was assigned based only on an ADRC abstract (FBrf0145882); iii) FBrf0201596 and FBrf0178951 say that this gene shows homology to human and mouse NSD1, WHSC1 (aka NSD2) and WHSC1-L (NSD3); iv) FBrf0225639 uses 'NSD' as a synonym of 'Mes-4'.
