AlpHi is a fluorescent pH reporter that shows high sensitivity to pH in the alkaline range. It consists of the Citrine fluorescent protein in which residue Y145 has been replaced by a 73 amino acid fragment of Avic\aeq that contains the second and third EF-hand domains (PMID:14701849).
