Clover is a green/yellow fluorescent protein derived from the naturally occurring fluorescent protein encoded by the Aequorea victoria GFP gene (UniProtKB:P42212). It contains the mutations S65G, M153T, T203H and Q69A relative to GFP, resulting in increased brightness and photostability, and has excitation and emission maxima of 505 and 515 nm, intermediate between EGFP and EYFP (PMID:22961245).
