Knockdown of Csk, through expression of CskGD9345 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1, leads to basolateral invasion of epithelial cells into the posterior compartment.

Knockdown of Csk, through expression of CskGD9345 under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1, leads to a high rate of lethality before adult eclosion.

Adults expressing CskGD9345 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Third instar larvae with co-expression of GluRIICdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cBa and CskGD9345 driven simultaneously by Scer\GAL4elav-C155, Scer\GAL4sca.PC and Scer\GAL4C57 show significant decreases in mEPSP (decreasing quantal size) but do not show significant compensatory homeostatic increases in quantal content (as seen with expression of GluRIICdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cBa alone) at the NMJ; larvae with co-expression show diminished evoked muscle excitation compared to larvae with expression of GluRIICdsRNA.Scer\UAS.cBa alone.

Larvae with expression of CskGD9345 driven in muscles by Scer\GAL4C57 show significant decreases in mEPSP (decreased quantal size) and attenuation of compensatory homeostatic increases in quantal content (as seen in GluRIIASP16/GluRIIASP16 mutants alone) at the NMJ; when expression is driven neuronally by Scer\GAL4elav-C155 the significant increase in quantal content is similar to that seen in GluRIIASP16/GluRIIASP16 mutants.
