AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).

Developmental western analysis shows that the long MBD-like isoform is present in embryonic extracts from 0-12 hours of development.
Developmental western analysis shows that the short MBD-like isoform is present in embryonic extracts from 6-20 hours of development.
Homogenous expression of MBD-like protein is observed in cleavage embryos. The staining intensity increases and staining is cytoplasmic. At cellular blastoderm stage there is a transient colocalization of the protein and DNA indicating a nuclear localization of MBD-like protein at this stage. However in gastrula and later embryonic development protein staining is detected primarily in the cytoplasm and nuclear periphery. Nuclear accumulation of MBD-like protein coincides with zygotic genome activation. Nuclear MBD-like protein was also observed in primary spermatocytes at the time of Y-chromosome activation. The protein was predominately cytoplasmic at earlier stages of spermatogenesis.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
