AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).
Comment: maternally deposited
Maternal Uba2 transcripts are distributed throughout the embryo until stage 10 and then decrease gradually. From stage 14 until the end of embryogenesis, transcripts are observed in the embryonic gonads in the pole cells. Uba2 is also strongly expressed in the CNS. Within ovaries, transcripts are weakly detected in the germarium, are strongly expressed in stage S1-10 nurse cells and are weakly detected in the oocyte up until stage S10. Uba2 transcripts are weakly expressed in spermatogonial cells at the tip region and remain detectable in the spermatocytes and spermatids.
Comment: mitosis
During embryonic cycles 10-14 protein was detected distributes around the cortex during mitotic divisions but concentrated in the nuclei during interphase. In later embryos postcellularization protein was detected in the cytoplasm of mitotic cells and primarily in the nuclei of interphase cells. No substantial colocalization with Septins was observed. During oogenesis Uba2 protein was detected in the nuclei of oocytes and of the follicle cells in the germarium.

Please Note FlyBase no longer curates genomic clone accessions so this list may not be complete
Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
polyclonal
Expression is enriched in embryonic gonads.

FlyBase curator comment: the symbol "sip2" has been used to refer to two genes; both the gene referred to in FlyBase as Uba2 (CG7528, FBgn0029113) - in FBrf0108803, FBrf0102083 and FBrf0101408 and also the gene referred to in FlyBase as sip2 (CG9188, FBgn0031878) - in FBrf0144953.
FlyBase curator comment: the gene referred to as "sip2" in FBrf0108803 corresponds to the gene referred to in FlyBase as Uba2 (CG7528, FBgn0029113) and does NOT correspond to the gene referred to in FlyBase as sip2 (CG9188, FBgn0031878).
FlyBase curator comment: the gene referred to as "sip2" in FBrf0101408 corresponds to the gene referred to in FlyBase as Uba2 (CG7528, FBgn0029113) and does NOT correspond to the gene referred to in FlyBase as sip2 (CG9188, FBgn0031878).
