Gene Snapshot
Suppressor of variegation 2-10 (Su(var)2-10) encodes a member of the PIAS protein family that regulates chromosome structure and function. As a JAK/STAT pathway regulator, it contributes to eye formation and eye determination. [Date last reviewed: 2019-09-26]
Pathway (FlyBase)
NEGATIVE REGULATORS OF JAK-STAT SIGNALING PATHWAY -
Negative regulators of JAK-STAT signaling down-regulate the pathway, attenuating transcriptional control by Stat92E.
POSITIVE REGULATORS OF HEDGEHOG SIGNALING PATHWAY -
Positive regulators of hedgehog signaling up-regulate the pathway, resulting in the activation of transcription of hh-responsive genes.
NEGATIVE REGULATORS OF IMD SIGNALING PATHWAY -
Negative regulators of the immune deficiency (Imd) pathway result in the decreased activity of the NFκB-like transcription factor Rel in the nucleus. Negative regulators are important in preventing damage to the host from over-activation of the pathway; preventing inappropriate triggering or terminating the response. (Adapted from FBrf0224587 and FBrf0238555.)
Gene Group (FlyBase)
SUMO TRANSFERASES -
SUMO transferases catalyze the transfer of SUMO from either E2 or E3 enzyme to a substrate.
Summary (Interactive Fly)

SUMO E3 ligase - promotes the efficiency of SUMOylation - links the piRNA-guided target recognition complex to the silencing effector by binding the piRNA/Piwi complex and inducing SUMO-dependent recruitment of the SetDB1 (Eggless)/Wde histone methyltransferase effector - chromatin modification

If you don't see a structure in the viewer, refresh your browser.
Model Confidence:
  • Very high (pLDDT > 90)
  • Confident (90 > pLDDT > 70)
  • Low (70 > pLDDT > 50)
  • Very low (pLDDT < 50)

AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.
