AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.
Low-frequency RNA-Seq exon junction(s) not annotated.
Annotated transcripts do not represent all supported alternative splices within 5' UTR.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).
Comment: maternally deposited
mol transcripts are ubiquitous in early embryos until cellularization at which point they are excluded from epidermal cells. After cellularization they were undetectable. On northern blots mol transcripts are abundant in the first two hours of embryogenesis and then decline isgnificantly. Levels increase slightly at late embryonic stages and they are not detected in larval stages.
mol protein is highly expressed in preblastoderm embryos where it localizes to the cytoplasmic membrane as discrete dots. Levels decline at the syncytial blastoderm and cellularization stages.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.

The "l(2)35Bb" complementation group was previously assigned to the CG31834 annotation (also known as " BG:DS00929.16 ", see FBrf0111326) in FlyBase. However, the CG31834 annotation has been eliminated in release 5.1 of the genome annotation, and the CG4482 annotation (corresponding to mol) on the opposite strand has been extended at the 5'end, such that it overlaps the region of the genome where the CG31834 annotation used to be. This together with complementation data from Crosby and Roote, 2006.3.2, personal communication to FlyBase suggests that the "l(2)35Bb" complementation group actually corresponds to the mol locus.
" BG:DS01219.1 " may correspond to "l(2)35Bb".
